Lina Habazi

is a visual artist based in Houston, TX specializing in printmaking and painting. She is interested in reviving materials from the past and her heritage to reimagine their place in her life today. Her work draws upon historical photography and documents, as well as poetry, calligraphy, and stories. She challenges herself to present these materials in new and refreshing ways that reflect her personal lived experiences. In doing so, she recognizes the nuances and complexities of her individual identity as a part of a larger collective that inspires her.

Lina graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Houston, with a minor in Studio Arts.
